With my original plan for this project I believe I have underestimated my ability of what I can actually do within the time frame which I have considering I also have other commitments.
I have altered the plan to best suit my time frame and ability by removing some props from the scene and also using other methods such as importing models to complete the environment.
As you can see I have removed the green house from the design, even though this is probably one of the more experimental ideas of the project I decided that this is something I can work on after my assignment.
For the grass, flowers and the vegetable patch I have decided to use imported models as these could become quite time consuming and means I am more focused on other props.
Overall I have created 25+ props for my environment (as you can see here). I am quite proud with actually how much I was able to produce within the time I have, all of the props have a specific purpose for the scene.
Here is a list of props I have created;
- Bench
- Front door
- Back door
- Guttering
- Porch
- Porch steps
- Bungalow roof
- Bungalow walls
- Window planter
- Windows
- Cat bed
- Catio – bridge
- Cat tree
- Catio shelf 01, 02, 03
- Bird bath
- Bird feeder
- Garden plant pot 01, 02, 03, 04
- Table and chairs
- Outdoor hanging chair
- Car
- Ground
As all these models are created in maya and being transferred into Blender I am having to uv unwrap in Maya, I have tried to transfer models and unwrap in Blender but due to my expertise in the software this has not been as successful.
In my previous project I designed the environment with more props in mind. I did start creating 3-4 more props but wanted to focus on the one I already completed.
